Muslims do not have the right to have their own government

The critic of Quran, on page 507 of the book criticizing the Qur’an, says:

Islam, in its governance and dominion, does not give any right to the people. Qur’an uniquely emphasizes on the people’s absolute obedience of the Prophet and his related commanders (his successors) and considers the Prophet’s right much more important than the people’s right even in the case of people’s private lives which stands as a kind of slavery. Such gross oppression is befallen on free Muslim men by the Quran, and women, non-Muslims and slaves even face a rather harsh condition than that. This great injustice deprives Muslims of having a democratic state based on their basic human rights.

 A Brief Response

The foremost problem in analyzing these issues for these people (critics) is the fact that they are agnostic and deny God. The critic of Quran, at the end of the book (criticism of Quran), states that the belief in God should not be supported any more.

But there is a question why leaders should be appointed by God and people cannot be involved in this?

Considering the purposes upon the creation of human being, the task of a leader is to maintain and prepare the growth and prosperity of all human talents which requires a true spiritual leader who is the most compassionate and is an expert not only in the social, political and economic aspects but also in educational and cultural affairs. Identifying such person (a sympathetic spiritual leader) is in the hands of God and man cannot identify and appoint such person

This person must be familiar and know the ultimate goal of human and human life, That is, he must be familiar with the purpose of humanity and human prosperity and has the potency to manage him. Is not God more aware, compassionate, and closer to human than human himself?

Do those, who claim on democratic ruling and governance, have the necessary knowledge to manage human beings?

Do they know the man to recognize his positive and negative sides?

Do people know their excellence better than God?

This is where the debate arises on the guardianship and custody.

Why is “mothers’ interference” in children’s affairs (as long as she does not abuse her right) acceptable?

Someone who has little knowledge toward people and their negative and positive points should not hold any authority in determining the issues related to people and the society.

Is it inappropriate to expect to benefit from a wise and caring leader appointed by God who puts everything in its highest form for human who are going to be educated?

So deciding for human and human society should not be rested and shouldered by an imperfect human.

Islam believes that those who are appointed by God have all the necessary characteristics for human management under the God’s order. Because they are not allowed to be self-directed and rule on their whim.

 Al hagha   (۴۴-۴۷)

Had he invented sayings against Us, (44)
We would have seized him by the right hand (45)
then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) (46)
not one of you could have prevented it from him. (47)
                                                                                                  Al- Najm  (۳-۴)
nor does he speak out of desire. (3)
Indeed it is not except a Revelation which is revealed, (4)

All this injustice and corruption in the world today is because human being has put the God and the revelation aside and has decided to take charge on his own destination himself.

The right to rule rests on the one who nurtures the world.

Who has created the heavens and the earth ….? He knows better path to happiness.
